Our history
Clement Melville Keys was born in 1864 and founded his West Bromwich accountancy practice in 1885 when he was 21 years old.

Between 1895-96 Clement Keys was football secretary manager at West Bromwich Albion Football Club, winning 10, losing 19 and drawing 9 of the 38 games played that season.
From 1921 Clement Keys joined forces with his son Clement Geoffrey Keys and practiced as Clement Keys & Son from Victoria Chambers, Birmingham.
Clement Keys died in 1937.
In 1964 the firm moved from the Chamber of Commerce building in Edgbaston, Birmingham to Nettleton House, Five Ways, Birmingham.
Clement Keys, as a firm, continued to grow and in 1972 Clement Keys & Son joined Gough and Wright, a Dudley based practice.
One of the partners at Gough & Wright, Clement Rodney Spencer, was the grandson of founder Clement Keys.
In 1975 Clement Keys, Gough & Wright became Clement Keys & Co.
At this time Clement Keys & Co had 3 offices; Nettleton House at Five Ways, Birmingham; Dartmouth House, Sandwell Road, West Bromwich and Swinford House, Albion Street, Brierley Hill (the outgrown Dudley office had been relocated to Brierley Hill).
Clement Keys moved to its present location in Calthorpe Road, Edgbaston in 2003.
In 2005, 3 partners and 8 members of staff from Felton & Co joined the Clement Keys practice.
The firm continued to grow which resulted in additional premises being taken in 2008.
