CLEMENT KEYS SCOOPS TOP PLACE IN ACCOUNTANCY AWARDS

Birmingham chartered accountants Clement Keys has scooped the top place in a new category for a major industry award having won the Accountancy Firm of the Year (between 6 and 15 partners) category in the annual BWMSCA Awards.

Clement Keys has won the Accountancy Firm of the Year twice before in 2003 and 2005 - or up to 10 partners/principals – and was previously voted a runner up.

“We are delighted to be the first firm to win this new category,” says Clement Keys managing partner, Michael Meakin.  “It reflects our position as one of the regions leading accountancy firms and illustrates how much we have grown since we first won the award for up to ten partners in 2003.

“2007 was a busy year for us as we reached the major milestone of over 100 staff and   took on additional premises by expanding into the offices next door at 37/38 Calthorpe Road .

“We are now recognised as the leading independent firm in the city and ranked in size amongst the top ten accountants in the West Midlands

Firms are judged on their achievements during the year in respect of business development, staff training, service to clients and innovation.  The Award was presented by Dermott Kelly of Allied Irish Bank (UK) at a lunch ceremony held at the Botanical Gardens in Edgbaston.
