Independent chartered accountants Clement Keys has appointed a new in-house financial adviser to support its growing financial services joint venture, CKG Financial Services. The joint venture between Clement Keys and Greyfriars Asset Management offers independent financial and investment advice for owner managers, entrepreneurs and family businesses. CKG consultant Philip Goodman will now be based at Clement Keys' Calthorpe Road offices alongside Clement Keys' partners Roger Parsons and Ross Cocker who are directors of CKG Financial Services. "By bringing together the various strands of your personal and business affairs you can maximise opportunities for wealth creation, make provision for the next generation and invest wisely for the future," says Mr Goodman, who has 15 years experience in the financial services sector and has spent the past six years providing independent financial advice through professional practice. "We can assist with pensions, life assurance, portfolio management, financial planning and investment advice, developing individually tailored solutions that will take into account new legislation and changes in the client's circumstances." The services available through CKG Financial Services complement those provided by Clement Keys, in particular partner and taxation specialist Shona Cutler, who advises on personal tax matters, IHT mitigation and pensions. "The affairs of owner managers and high earning directors of SMEs can be quite complex, making it vital that they stay on top of developments in the financial services arena, yet many simply cannot devote the time required to do this," says Roger Parsons.
