ACCOUNTANT IN THE SWIM TO SUPPORT BOLLYWOOD STAR'S NEW FILM VENTURE

A Birmingham chartered accountant took to the water to support the launch of a new Birmingham film production company. Joe Bates a partner at chartered accountants Clement Keys is a qualified scuba diver and instructor who continue to teach in his spare time. He was therefore comfortable to take to the water for promotional photographs to mark the launch of the public share offer, looking to raise up to £1.6million to fund Dreamfollower Productions PLC first film Swimmer.

Clement Keys are part of the all Birmingham team advising Dreamfollower, providing accountancy and audit services to the company and to Rupak, who won Channel 4's Bollywood Star talent contest in the summer of 2004.

The share offer was launched on 10th July 2006 and closes on Friday 18th August 2006, with the minimum share subscription of £1million needed to be raised by the close of the offer. Dreamfollower PLC is making the shares available to the public in order to secure the necessary funding for Swimmer, which examines how the human spirit is able to overcome adversity.

Rupak has been inspired to make Swimmer - an Asian-crossover 'feel good movie' mainly in English with some Hindi and subtitles where appropriate - after winning the talent competition and working on Mahesh Bhatt's film Nazar. Currently in pre-production with Pooja Bhatt's Fisheye Network, Swimmer is due to start filming in October if the minimum subscription is achieved, with release scheduled for autumn 2007.

Swimmer stars Rupak as a girl who dreams of becoming an Olympic swimmer. A tragedy strikes just as the character is on the verge of achieving her goal when her mother, who has been her strongest supporter, dies. The film picks up the story 10 years later when, overweight and unenthusiastic about her life, Rupak's character is forced to face her inner demons and train once again to swim and follow her dream, in the process losing half her body weight.

Clement Keys handles Rupak's personal tax affairs as well as those of Dreamfollower PLC and have been advising on the tax issues surrounding the public share offer as well as providing professional advice on finance matters to help progress the project to its current stage.

"While Rupak's acclaimed performance in Nazar turned her into the UK's first Bollywood celebrity, now it is her considerable business skills that are coming to the fore as she looks to develop her film making talents with Swimmer," says tax partner Manny Sahota.

"We are delighted to be supporting Rupak's efforts to achieve her ambition and get this exciting venture up and running."
