Ross Rounds Up Accountancy's Firm Top Ten


Award-winning Chartered Accountants Clement Keys, Birmingham have announced a new partner appointment. Thirty-two year old Ross Cocker joins the firm today (Tuesday,
6 May), taking the number of partners to ten.

Ross moves to Clement Keys, Birmingham from Tenon West Midlands, where he spent two years, latterly as managing director of the organisation's Birmingham office.

An acknowledged specialist in the owner-managed business sector, Ross has worked with a wide variety of companies from car dealerships to media and entertainment enterprises. At Clement Keys, Birmingham he will be responsible for developing new business, including companies on the OFEX market and businesses whose shares are traded on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).

"We are delighted to strengthen our team with someone of the calibre of Ross Cocker, who is well known in Midlands accountancy circles for his corporate finance, strategic planning and business development skills," said Michael Meakin, partner in charge of Audit and Compliance.

"Ross brings valuable, hands on experience of dealing with SMEs and owner operators, which will not only enable us to develop our range of business services but also to tailor them even more closely to meet the needs of OFEX and AIM listed companies," he added.

Ross Cocker commenced his career with HLB Kidsons in 1990, after completing a Foundation Course in Accountancy at Birmingham Polytechnic, and qualified as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1994.

During his 14 years of practice experience Ross has developed close working relationships with his clients, a number of which are expected to follow him to Clement Keys.

Married with two children, Ross lives in Walsall and is a keen golfer and tennis player. His other interests include New World wines and football and he is a shareholder and season ticket holder at West Bromwich Albion FC.

Clement Keys, Birmingham was declared Accountancy Firm of the Year (up to 10 partners) at the recent Birmingham and West Midlands Society of Chartered Accountants awards.

Specialising in taxation planning, property service charges, pension schemes, charities, not for profit organisations and European and Local Authority auditing, Clement Keys, Birmingham is currently expanding these areas of its business and relocated to larger offices at 39/40 Calthorpe Road, Edgbaston at the turn of the year.
