University of Central England students Hamza Mahmood and Saqib Ali Mir have netted prizes in the university's annual Accountancy and Finance Division awards programme, after gaining top marks in key subjects. The budding accountants picked up prizes which are sponsored by chartered accountants Clement Keys, Birmingham. Hamza Mahmood was commended as the student with the highest marks in advanced financial accounting, while Saqib Ali Mir's outstanding work saw him pick up the Clement Keys, Birmingham Award for the highest marks in auditing. Both students received their prizes from Clement Keys partner Gavin Whitehouse at an awards ceremony held at the University's main Perry Barr campus. "Clement Keys, Birmingham is delighted to continue its sponsorship of the University of Central England's accountancy students and we congratulate Hamza and Saqib on their achievements," said Gavin. "By presenting awards to UCE's high achievers we are keen to play our part in helping improve their career prospects and encouraging talented young people like Hamza and Saqib into the profession." |
